How we worked this out
On a £30 order, commission can take up to £10.50 before the food has even left the kitchen. Move £2,000 of monthly sales from a 25% commission platform to our flat £29.95 fee, for example, and roughly £470 stays in your business each month instead of going to commission. Move even a portion of your delivery-platform sales to your own branded ordering app and the fees you'd have paid on every order stay in your business instead.
The calculator uses the same sum: the sales you move direct, multiplied by your commission rate, minus our £29.95 monthly subscription. The yearly figure is 12 times the monthly one.

How much could I actually save?
It depends on the value of orders you move direct and the commission you currently pay. Use the calculator above with your own figures. It subtracts our £29.95 monthly subscription from the commission you could avoid. VAT, payment processing, delivery and other costs are not included.
Do I need to be good with technology?
The app is designed to be easy to use. Customers browse your menu and place an order, and you can see order details in your dashboard. We can walk you through how it works in your free demo.
Am I tied into a contract?
There is no fixed-term contract. You pay a monthly subscription. We will explain the payment and cancellation arrangements before you get started.
What help do I get to promote my app?
Your package includes flyer design and prints to get you started, free QR codes and plenty of digital materials to share with customers. You can also send offers through your app. We will go through the launch materials and how to use them in your demo.
Does zero commission mean there are no other costs?
Zero commission means we do not take a percentage of your direct orders. The £29.95 monthly subscription still applies, and your customers pay a small 50p platform fee per order at checkout, typically less than the service fees they pay on delivery apps. Ask us to confirm delivery arrangements and any other charges for your business before signing up.
How long does it take to get set up?
Most takeaways are live within 5 days of signing up and connecting Stripe, our payment processor. We'll build your branded app, load your menu and get your STAR printer ready before you launch (the printer is a one-off £294.99).
Who processes card payments, and what does it cost?
Card payments are processed by Stripe. Stripe's own processing fees apply on top of our £29.95 monthly subscription, in addition to Stripe's published rates.
Is VAT added to the £29.95 subscription?
We're not currently VAT registered, so no VAT is added to the price today. If that changes in future, VAT would apply at the standard rate.
What happens to my data if I cancel?
You can request an export of your menu, order history and customer data at any time. If you cancel, we delete your data within 90 days, or sooner if you ask us to.
