Privacy & cookies.
This notice explains how we use information collected through the Food Ordering Co marketing website. It does not cover orders placed with individual takeaways.
Last updated: 15 September 2026 · This policy is provided in English.
Who we are
Food Ordering Co is responsible for the personal information described in this notice. For privacy questions or requests, email hello@foodorderingco.com.
When you ask for a demo
We collect your name, takeaway name and email address, plus your phone number and message if you choose to provide them. We include the language of the page you used (for example, Italian for /it) in the enquiry so we can understand the context of your request. This is a website language, not an assumption about your nationality or a promise of support in that language.
Your enquiry is sent to our inbox through our email provider. We use it to respond, arrange a demo and discuss the service you asked about. We rely on our legitimate interests in responding to business enquiries; where you are personally considering a contract with us, we may also process information to take steps at your request before entering that contract.
Providing these details is voluntary, but we need the required fields to respond through this form. Please do not include payment card details, passwords or sensitive personal information. Sending an enquiry does not subscribe you to a marketing mailing list.
Keeping the website secure
Our hosting services may process technical information such as IP addresses, request times, requested pages and browser details in server and security logs. The form uses a hidden spam field and temporary records containing a hash of the submitted email address to limit repeated requests. These measures support our legitimate interests in protecting the website and our inbox from misuse.
Cookies and storage
You can use the site and send an enquiry without accepting analytics. We use the following storage:
| Name | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
foc-language | Remembers the language you select. Set when you change the language. | Up to one year |
foc-analytics-consent (local storage) | Remembers whether you accepted or rejected analytics. | Choice valid for 180 days; you are then asked again |
_ga, _ga_* | Google Analytics identifiers, set only after you accept analytics. | Configured for up to 180 days; Google may refresh expiry during use |
Language and consent preferences are necessary to remember your choices. Analytics is optional and uses your consent. If your browser blocks storage, choices may only last for the current page session.
Optional Google Analytics
If you accept, we load Google Analytics to understand page visits and how the site is used. Google processes technical and usage information, such as browser and device details, visited pages, cookie identifiers and approximate location. Your device connects to Google, which receives connection information including your IP address. We do not deliberately send enquiry fields to Analytics, and our page-view events exclude URL query strings and fragments.
Google’s analytics script is not loaded before acceptance. Rejecting analytics sends no analytics request to Google from this integration. Advertising consent stays denied and Google signals and advertising personalisation are disabled in our tag configuration.
You can change your mind using in the footer or here. Rejecting after acceptance disables tracking, removes accessible Google Analytics cookies and reloads the page to stop the running script. It does not undo data already collected with your earlier consent.
For more about Google’s processing, read Google’s privacy policy and how Google uses information from sites that use its services.
Who receives information
Information is available to people handling your enquiry and to service providers involved in hosting, security and email delivery. Google receives analytics information only if you accept analytics. We may also disclose information where required by law or to establish or defend legal claims. We do not sell enquiry information.
Providers may process information outside the UK. Where a restricted international transfer applies, an appropriate legal safeguard is needed, such as UK adequacy regulations or approved contractual protections. You can contact us for details about the providers and safeguards relevant to your information.
How long information is kept
We keep enquiry correspondence for as long as needed to respond and manage the business relationship, taking account of any legal obligations or need to resolve disputes. Security information is kept as needed to investigate misuse and protect the service. Temporary form rate-limit records become obsolete after their short rate-limit window and are cleaned up as the form is used.
Cookie and preference durations are shown above. Analytics information already sent to Google follows the retention settings of our Analytics property. Contact us if you need the current retention period or would like us to review information we hold about you.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you can ask to access or correct your personal information, have it erased, restrict its use or receive a portable copy. You can object to processing based on legitimate interests and withdraw consent where we rely on it. These rights are subject to the conditions and exceptions in data protection law.
Email hello@foodorderingco.com to make a request. We may need to confirm your identity. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), the UK data protection regulator.
